Can i buy a sky + box?

I have normal sky television and want to upgrade to sky + but because im already a customer they want to charge me £150 for the box! if i brought a box of ebay and just plugged it in would it work?? Thank you

try telling sky you want to cancel because your unhappy with the service as i done that n they gave me my package half price for 6 months! they may give u the box cheaper!
