Can i hold my marbled gecko?

i just got my marbled gecko can i hold it and play with it or do i just leave it in its tank?

Geckos are really mainly a look but don't touch kind of reptile. They are very fragile and get stressed very easily, and could quite possibly drop their tail.

If you need to move them to clean the tank or for whatever reason, usher them in to a small cup instead of grabbing/holding them with your hands.

Leave it alone for a while.  It needs to get used to it's new surroundings.  For the first few days, you can put your hand in the tank and let him/her get used to your smell and the sight of your hand.  Also, when you do start holding him/her, never grab him/her from above.  Let him/her see your hand, then slide it under the belly from the side.  They get stressed so easy.
