Can i see antarctica please?

how do i visit antarctica from dunedin, nz? and how much does it cost? i'd love to be able to see it while i'm here for the next two months, is that possible? i mean, aside from jumping on a cruise ship or becoming a scientist...

per se, you cannot visit Artarctica...you can take a cruise and see it from the ship.  However, to truely visit, you must be invited.  And to be invited, you must be part of a scientific team with a project that needs you to be on the continent.

Cruises do leave from New Zealand but only in the Summer months (Nov-Feb) so the next 2 months it will not be possible.  If is very expensive ($16000+ twin share) for about a 2 week cruise.
