Can i take alcohol to egypt?

Question

After booking my hols to Egypt i read some reviews on the hotel (should have done before i know) And most people are saying that the all inclusive drinks are really rubbish and watered down and if you want a decent tasting drink it can cost you around £6.50 for a vodka and coke. So can i buy my own vodka and coke and take it with me . Any advice welcome thanks

No problem at all, you will also find duty free shops at your destination airport where you can purchase up to 3 litres of booze per person. You have up to 48 hours after to arrival to purchase any duty free goods in Egypt once you arrive.

If your coming from the UK i would get my booze there because its a bit cheaper than Egypt(Imported to there) The beer on the all inclusive package is the same as you get outside the hotels, sakara is a good one, brewed in Egypt & the 1st to ever be brewed in the world!(Bit of history for you before you arrive)LOL. They also have stella & heineken in some hotels but take care they don't charge extra. As for the coke, it's coca cola the same as anywhere. You can also get sprite, tonic & seven up apart from fruit juices. True the alchohol is a bit pants but you get used to it after you've had a few.LOL!  I always drink the oozo with sprite or the sakara beer both are fine. Though i do take booze with me, i'm a brandy drinker & i'm afraid theirs is a bit like fire water!

On my last holiday to Egypt, We stocked up at duty free 2l between us both. The all inclusive drinks were a bit horrid but we got used to them I have never heard of anyone ever having problems taking in booze. The coke is fine by the way! Have a great time :)

Yes you can. Officially there are some limits of how much you can take in, but if you have a European/American passport you will definitely not be hassled.

You can also visit the Duty Free Shop in Mohandiseen within 72 hours of arriving in the country to buy cheap and high-quality alcohol.

Don't worry there is all kind of alcohols there.. Heinken Wiskey .. all that good stuff.. even grey goose.. It'll get you lose with the camels.. LOl. just kidding well, as long as yhou drink and keep it to yourself you know..

dont' think hyou'r ein Russia with Vodka..
