iv noticed that in tutorials, the professionals often use cream/ gel eyeliner with an angled brush. are these eyeliners available in UK boots/ superdrug stores? which companies make them?

alternatively, is it possible for me to get an angled brush and instead of buying a gel eyeliner pot, just dab liquid liner on the brush and apply it? will that work out ok.

oh and one more thing, are the bourjois wet/dry eyeshadows better than GOSH eyeshadows?

thanks

  1. yes

  2. a pic could be good dunno but look in the avon you gan get gel eyeliner from there

  3. I started using wet eyeliner and a brush a few years ago and never looked back. i find it much more effective and flattering that liquid or a pen. I have not seen a budget range gel eyeliner pot but the bobby brown one is excellent, about 10-12 pounds and lasts a really really long time.

My favourite is the Laura mercier block eyeliner used wet with a flat brush. However for a flat one you can use a cheaper wet dry eyeshadow no problem to get the same effect. For a subtle look, apply it from underneath your eyelashes with your eye open  (this is pretty hard to explain on here but go to a laura mercier counter and get them to show you). For a stronger effect layer it in a thin line above your lashes, you can then leave it as a clearly defined line or (I prefer) lightly buff it with a soft eyeshadow brush to get the ultimate smokey eye.

top tip. if you're smudging it and you find a little dusting of dark colour lands on your cheek, don't rub it off, use a tiny bit of sellotape to lift the black particles. It works a treat. Good luck

  4. Benefit and Elizabeth Arden do those kinda eyeliners the Benefit angled brushes are Brilliant too. I wouldn't use a normal liquid eyeliner with an angled brush it would be more trouble than its worth.

Best way too do it is to use a kohl pencil then do the liquid or gel over the top you can then use an angled brush to press the liner into the kohl base you have put on. All this does really is make it last all day it wont make it look much different.

Also I think the Gosh ones are better than Bourjois. Bourjois don't seem to stay on all that well and i always get "crumbs" of eyeshadow dropping off when i use them!!

  5. yes u can use the angle brush with liquid eyeliner the gel eyeliner is alot like liquid just a bit smoother and creamy.i have no idea about gosh and bourjois though sorry  if u want to use the gel eyeliner the only place i know that sells them is mac  but i do suggest if u dont want to spend alot of money go for the liquid 1 and just use a angle brush its what i do good luck x
