Before we were married, my husband used to live in a state which does not have self defense laws. 4 men attacked him and he defended himself. He beat the guys pretty badly but they got him good too. He spent a few days in the hospital. After they released him from the hospital, he was immediately arrested for attempted murder. After all was said and done, the charges were reduced to aggravated assault. He spent 30 days in Jail and has been doing well ever sense. He works in construction so his record doesn’t affect him finding a job.

I am interested in several things that I am wondering if his record would prevent us from doing.

1. Starting a child care home in our home.

2. Adopting, possibly international

3. Foster care

Are we able to do these things with his record?
