  1. I once met two Sikh Air India pilots walking the concourse at London Heathrow, so obviously the answer is yes. However, with the possible exception of an Indian or Pakistani airline you probably cannot wear the traditional headgear of a Sikh while on duty, hair must be short, and relatively few airlines allow facial hair. Of those who do, it has to be very neatly and closely trimmed. The traditional steel bracelet, if you wear one, would be a big headache at every security checkpoint, even though you are wearing the uniform and identification of an airline pilot. You would probably never be allowed to wear a kirpan while on duty either, if you are a traditionalist. Therefore you could continue to live the spiritual life, but you would have to look and dress like most any other airline pilot in the world when at work. If it is your path...follow it. God knows who's who.

  2. There is no religious, caste, creed, colour, language, nationality, ethnicity or cultural discrimination in becoming commercial pilots. Being a Sikh is no exception to the rule.

  3. Of Course they can, but I'm not sure if male, turbaned Sikhs can. - Just like Male Turbaned Sikhs can't join the military or police force(in America only)

I'm a Sikh, and My aunt is a Airline Pilot for Quwait Airways.

  4. Of course!

    Happy Flying!
