Question:

Can the golden phesant fly?

im wanting a bid that cant fly and i like the look of the golden phesant but i cant remember if it can fly or not

please help me

  1. Yes they sure can!!!!

    The only way you can stop them flying is to have their wings clipped,every three -four months.

    Their favourite mode of flight is to shoot straight up into the wide blue yonder,so if you want to keep then put them in a pen,unless you have some large grounds that you can keep them in,with a shelter where they can be fed to keep them at home.

    Pheasants are Not the same genus as Poultry they come under the genus "Lophura"Poultry come under the genus of"Gallus" and present day poultry are descendants of the Jungle Fowl "Gallus gallus"

    The question is can they Fly.


  2. Yes they can

    Did you know that we roosters are part of the pheasant family.....and that we come in a combination of colors more vibrant than pheasants.  Also we are easier to train too.  We've been domesticated much longer than they have.  We can't fly like they can because of domestication.
