  1. Gelatin is a slaughter byproduct. Animals have to die for it to be put in food. I don't see how that's any different than eating a big ol' steak or some chicken fingers.

  2. no really cause gelatin is made from animals...i believe its made from the bone or meat or something, you have to kill the animal to get gelatin...for milk and eggs you dont have to kill the animal thats why you can eat them but not gelatin

  3. No, vegetarians don't eat dead animals.  There's no way to get the gelatin from the bones, hides and connective tissues of animals without killing them first.  Slaughter byproducts are no more vegetarian than slabs of flesh are.  Dead animals are dead animals and are not vegetarian.

  4. Gelatin is not a vegetarian food. It's made from the boiled bones, hooves, and skin of animals. (Well, it's made from the resulting water, actually.) Good catch. Agar is the vegetarian equivalent.

  5. I am a vegetarian and I was eating gelatin long before I realized what went into it, and still occaisonally do, out of habit. Vegetarians don't really have "bible" that they absolutely must follow - but I guess, in the strictest possible sense, I could be considered non-vegetarian because I eat eggs and gelatin, but I find no problem in considering myself a vegetarian.

  6. vegetarian could eat it they could eat anything that's is not meat

but vegan cant not eat anything from a animal or drink anything from a animal

if it had tendons from a animal is not okay but i guess it didn't

so is okay if your a vegetarian but not okay if your a vegan

  7. WELL IT DEPENDS ON WHICH KIND OF VEGETARIAN YOU ARE, SOME VEGITARIANS ARE ABLE TO EAT THINGS LIKE FISH AND EGGS, AND SOME ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT ANYTHING THAT IS OR HAS BEEN ALIVE, SO IT REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW STRICT A VEGETARIAN YOU ARE BUT I WOULD SAY GELATIN IS FINE

  8. It's non-halal here too.

Vegetarians do not eat gelatin!  You don't suck in animal bones or horse hooves, so you don't eat gelatin.

  9. Nope.  It is made from the tendons of animals.

  10. yes

  11. It is made by boiling the bones and connective tissues of animals, so you can't.  AND I am sure you have come across it, but just didn't realize.  It's in A LOT of foods!!!

  12. no its made from animal tendons
