Can you glaze Crayola Model Magic?

I've made some day of the dead skulls with crayola model magic, and decorated them with markers. I was hoping to give it a bit more polish by putting some kind of clear coat over it (and maybe make it less spongy). I have some Golden brand acrylic medium that I use to seal collages--would this work? What about one of those clear spray sealers ?

You can use any kind of "sealer" on air-dry clay like Model Magic.  You might have a problem with some of your *markers* bleeding though, depending on the type of ink/pigment they use, and petroleum-solvent-based sealers could also make some inks bleed (so use water-based sealers).  

If you're worried about bleeding, spray them *lightly* a time or two with an acrylic spray to seal, then use your liquid sealer on top of that if you want to add more gloss or get more even coverage.  The liquid sealers could be anything from permanent white glue (like Elmers GlueAll) thinned 3 or 4 with water, polyurethanes, clear fingernail polish, acrylic medium (gloss), etc.

(Several layers of sealer will make the Model Magic somewhat less spongy.)

I know you can paint it with tempera, acrylic or watercolors when dry.  Not sure about a glaze, so I would try on a small sample first.  I would stay away from the spray sealers, because Model Magic is a little "spongy" and certain sealers or chemicals can eat right through it.
