Can you picture this room?

look at the grape parfait and pale orchid

we've recently combined 2 rooms and made one

but the wall inbetween was left 2 feet on each side

im thinking of paiting that wall a dark purple ( grape parfait )

and the rest of the walls a lighter color ( the pale orchid)

then im thinking of leaving 2 inches of white paint around the room and on all the corners, kind of like a trim.

then i want to paint the celing an even lighter color, since it's more than 8 feet high.

as for furniture, im getting a dark brown couch and a swirlyish table & a small comp table in one half of the room

in the other i have my closet almost complete, and my bed is going to be a full with a darkish redish purple border..kind of like a burgendy ?

and then ill have some carpets but im not sure WHAT COLOR???

and i'll have laminite flooring ( the fake wood look)

oh and im going to have a dresser but im not sure if i want to keep the natual dark wood, or if i want to paint it black???

help me please!

all your ideas are great but whatever you do don't paint it black

black will make the room like so small listen to a person that has done it before , :D

the fake wood floor idea is so great i think it gives it this vintage thing

your 2 purples ideas are like really nice and i like how  you want carpets black and white carpets are really good they will match everything but i recommend black because stains won't show and its so in
