Can you recommend me a hotel?

Can anyone recommend me a hotel in Barcelona? I need to stay for two nights in Barcelona and I need a hotel but not to expensive and as close of downtown as posible.

You don't mention for how many people, so I'll assume you mean 2, or even just you would mean a 1 room. I can reccomend 3 star places down town. Hotel Jazz is a great location on Calle pelayo, just on the top of las ramblas, so walking distance to all the main attractions, and also hotel inglaterra is just over the road and is nice, too.

If you fancyt a cheaper option, then there are some nice hostals - hostal centric on calle casanova is a good one (no lift, but cheap and cheerful). Barcelona has loads of options however, and you could also try some apartments which gives you anoither side of Barcelona, too.

we're currently staying at the Barcelona Universal Hotel, it's a 4 star hotel a walking distnace from las ramblas (around 10mins). It's a great hotel with a small roof top swimming pool, a solarium and a little gym. Excellent value for the price. We got it for around $125/night from hotwire.com.
