Is it physically possible to train your voice to be able to reach higher or lower notes? I highly doubt it, but I'm curious anyhow

  1. There's a limit for everyone but yes you can.

I used to only be able to hit a top A, now i can hit top C sharp

  2. Well...

Yeah, there is a physical limit to anyone..

But.. No one really ever uses the voice to its full range... We have no need to most of the time.. so people just stick to what is necessary... and by doing so, never develops the muscles needed to produce these extreme pitches.

Exercises and scales will help so far, but in order to produce the best range, most singers need to be taught new developed singing techniques, which have only been researched in the lest few decades..

  3. Yes, it's possible to stretch your range. I mean, if you're a man with a low voice, there are still certain high notes that you'll probably never be able to  hit, but you can stretch it a bit by practicing more difficult notes that are slightly out of your range.
