Can you use the palm centro?

with out a data plan?

i know its pointless with out it but i was just wondering or if it was like the iphone...

Yes, you can. And it's not even that pointless. You'll have a telephone, and you'll have a Palm Pilot, both in one. You just can't get emails or surf the web.

I've had a Palm Pilot for years (now a Palm Treo 755p), and I probably use it more than I use the phone. It's very useful to keep addresses, notes, check your schedule, maintain a to-do list, etc. You can synchronize it with your computer, so every time you attach it to your computer, you can get the most recent news, for example.

And there are also some nice games for it ;)
