Canada or US side?

Is Niagara Falls better on the U.S. side or the Canadian side? Any hotel recommendations or tourist attractions?

I find the Canadian side much prettier and interesting and has more things to do. Of course, you can visit both sides, but the Horseshoe Falls is very impressive up close.

It's pretty incredible from either side, but I thought it was slightly better from the U.S. side looking towards Canada.  

It should be fairly easy to cross the border, so I'd suggest seeing it from both sides and decide for yourself.

I prefer staying on the New York (US) side. Hotels are much more reasonable. The state park has so much to see and do

You can ride the Maid of the Mist - way less crowded the Canadian boat.  Walk under the falls, ride the trolley for miles.

I have been there twice in 4 years and would go back again.

I book the hotel online.  There is a Days Inn, Holiday Inn,  and about 6 more.  Also The Seneca Indians Casino has a hotel.

Have a nice time  New York side had much more parking

I prefer the Canadian side. I find it very enjoyable to stay in Fallsview Hotels which generally have rooms overlooking both of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls. For hotel selection I generally stay at the Sheraton Fallsview.

In terms of tourist attractions, the opportunities are endless. Casinos are present; nature attraction exist including the Butterfly Conservatory; and Marineland a park for aquatic animals. There are also fun amusments present on Clifton Hill and many evening shows and performances. Of course there are the typical tourist attractions of the Maid of The Mist (boat ride behind Niagara Falls) and Behind The Falls (an opportunity to walk behind a portion of the Horseshoe Falls. Jet boat tours of the Niagara Rive exist, as well as helicopter rides; but both vary in price. There are also several public parks located along the Niagara Gorge that are beautiful to walk and meticulously maintained. In the evening the Canadian Falls are generally lit up with an impressive lighting display.
