Cancer girl and Taurus guy?

Question

My new guy is a taurus and i'm cancer. Just looking at star signs, are we compatible?

I'm starting to feel he's quite overbearing as he's so in love and a tad clingy, does this sound normal?

i know more comes into a relationship than star signs but this is just out of interest, as in the past i've found that star signs have predicted relationships.
