Cancun? food?

Question

how far is local cooking from hotel strip...like taco stands,little mom and pop restaurants...i ask cause sometimes its cheaper to eat their then at fancy restaurants! And sometimes its better cooking and cheaper! Dont worry i know what im getting my self into....im mexican i know that sometimes its dangerous to eat at those kind of places...but like i said...im mexican..used to it already! it all depends how the place looks and one decides if 1 wants to eat their! dont get me wrong i love to eat steak,lobster,etc but sometimes i wanna eat something from my people...pay less and get full...and not pay alot and still hungry!

Hey, compa if you are in Cancun I suggest you go to down town Cancun is better cheaper and more fun, you might ask yourself how to get there, it is very easy if you are in the hotel area (tourist area) you get out and take the bus (if you want to take it simple) any of those buses will take u to down town. oh, if you want to come back to the hotel you take the same route or bus and it will take u back to your hotel. Now if you have a rental car I am very sorry I don't know how to get there.

I recently just got back from cancun like 3 weeks ago and the food is about the same prise that it is here, and the town is super far from the main strip.... we were trying to go to the town and it wasnt working because it was way to far... i suggest you stay on the strip....
