Question:

Candles in my room?

I really want to be able to light candles in my room, but my mom doesn't like it when I do. She can smell the smoke from a blown-out candle or a lit match even 30 minutes after I've lit it! I'm really careful with the candles, and if I'm not near them then they're not lit. But my mom thinks that I'll e a typical irressponsible teenager and burn the house down.

The candles really mean a lot to me.

Does anyone know how I could light the candles without leving a smoky scent in my room? Please?

*Please, please, PLEASE don't say how 'I'm a bad child' and sumsuch. Just answer the question, don't counsel me!*

  1. I live with a fire chief (my husband)and we only burn candles on the stove in our kitchen and no place else.- it is just not worth the risk.

You may need to invest in a scentsy burner.  It melts wax with a light bulb and smells great but involves no flame.  It is much safer than regular candles.

    Some scentsy info:

    Scentsy Bars

Authentic Scentsy Bars are incredibly potent bars of highly scented wax. Because a sooty candle is never our problem, we can pack each Scentsy Bar with more fragrance oil than most 12 oz. jarred candles. With over 80 fragrances to choose from, there is one sure to please everyone.

    Scentsy Warmers

Scentsy warmers are specifically designed to perfectly melt Authentic Scentsy Bars into an impressive wax pool that throws the maximum amount of fragrance over the longest period of time. Scentsy Warmers melt wax at a lower temperature so there is never any danger of burning children or pets. With dozens of colors and styles to choose from, there is a Scentsy Warmer to fit every decor.

    Room Sprays and Car Candles

Our Scentsy Fragrances are so fantastic; you will want to take them everywhere. We have designed other products to help you “Get Scentsy” in your car, closet, hotel room, or wherever you want a blast of your favorite Scentsy Fragrance.

    Hope I helped!

  2. When you blow them out, keep your door closed and your windows open. also get some air freshener, to rid of the smell.

  3. I totally agree with the answer about Scentsy. You can have the aroma of a candle without the fire risk. I'm sure your mom would appreciate that! The warmers can double as a nightlight too.

  4. If the candles are in a container with a lid, just place the lid on the container and the smoke stays in the container.  And yes, we all have forgot to blow out candles, so be careful:)

  5. yes, candles are beautiful.my husband used all the same arguments u did.one day,he went to work,8 hours, and forgot to blow the candle out.it was a big column candle, still burning when we got home.my husband is an adult, but he was tired and he forgot.its nothing to do with age,its that its human nature to forget.thank god our 4 dogs didnt knock over the candle while we were out, otherwise we would have no pets and no house!
