Cane and Cloe's baby? ?

Question

I don't understand why Cane doesn't just wait for the baby to be born and then take custody of it. Then he and Lilly can raise the baby. with Cloe's messed up life he will surely win custody. What do you think?

This whole story line is just so bizarre, none of it makes any sense to me!

I don't think Cane should have to spend a single penny to support that child when it is NOT his baby, and if anyone in the Winters or Chancellor families had half a brain, they would know that.

They've all known Chloe long enough to know what kind of a person she is, and should know by now that she would do anything to make it appear that her baby is Cane's, just so she could be with Cane and not Lilly.

I keep hoping that either Billy will come back soon and see that Chloe is pregnant so that her little scheme will fall flat in her face, or that by the time the baby is born someone will have put two and two together and figure out that the baby had to be conceived long before the night that Chloe claims Cane and her had s*x.

I am probably hoping for too much though!

Cane is not thinking like that at the time all he knows is that he wants to be a good father since he had no father growing up, but since it is not his baby anyway no telling what the writer's have in mind.  When Billy Abbot comes back and see Chloe the cat will be out of the bag.

I think this storyline is sooooooo stoopie.  The only interesting part is crazy Chloe.  What woman in her right mine would give up love and a fortune so her man could marry the craz-o that has been stalking him.

  Now Cane wants to marry her so that he can establish parental rights.

Come on writers!!!   Cane could still be with Lily (boring as they are), and get a REAL paternity test after the baby is born and then give Chloe the boot.

The baby belongs to his half brother Billy Chancellor, he just don't know that yet.

Billy is the dad and he is coming back to town and will foil Chloe's plans about the baby. The reason they results said Cain could not be  excluded is because he and Billy share DNA resulting from being half-brothers. Also the actor going to play Billy is the ex Ritchie from AMC.

I agree....in this day and age and with his family money and connections being married to the mother should be the least of his worries.  

Besides it's not even his baby and we all know it.  How did she find out she was pregnant 2 days after having s*x?  They are all crazy and stupid for not taking the "can not be excluded" at its word and make her prove it when the baby is born.   If she is whining about money etc...just put her up at the GCAC and be done with it.  They can afford it!!

I haven't watched since Monday, but I cannot understand why Lilly was so upset about the DNA Test. She knew what the possible outcome would be. He said he didn't sleep with Chloe, but he was drunk, so he probably don't remember. Now all of the sudden that the test came back and he can't be ruled out and she leaves him, that's wrong to me. I think they should stay together ans stick this one out. They will find out that Chloe is lying, and then what is Lilly going to do, she is going to look so stupid. Sorry guys, I just think Lilly and her family (Dad and Devon) are acting so holier than thou, especially Devon, I hate it when he gets on one of his high horses.

days before she and Cane "slept together" it showed her with a positive pregnancy test. So, it can't be Cane's baby.  The test said he couldn't be excluded from the group. So, a relative of his is probably going to be the father.  I read on Soapnet.com that Billy had been recast and will be joining the show.  So, my guess is that the baby is Billy's and we won't find out until Cane is married to Chloe and Billy decides to return.

I know. It sounds so strange that he wants to get married right away and he doesn't even love Chloe. It should be interesting when Billy comes back since he is going to be the father.

The baby is really Billy's, isn't it?  Since Billy and Cane are half-brothers, (Jill is their mom) that's why the DNA test came back

that Cane "couldn't be ruled out" as the baby's father.  His DNA is

similar enough to Billy's that they couldn't rule him out.  But also,

Cane doesn't want to raise Chloe's baby without BOTH of it's

parents, which is why he's throwing himself under the bus and marrying Chloe.

Get as close as he can monitor everything Chloe does/say while the child is unborn/after.Once he take the child the whole truth will surface.The baby will need test to prevent it being twisted like the mother;like who's genes control the baby. OOPS not Cane's....Blessings Yahoo

Lilly wouldn't want to raise Chloe's baby. That's probably why she dumped Cane before he could suggest that.

I still say something doesn't seem right about Cane and Chloe. Something tells me there both in on it.

This makes me so upset.  Billy is the father, that's why Cane wasn't excluded as the dad. (Close DNA)... It just seems to me like all of a sudden everyone has lost their Ba!@@# since Chloe came into town, He SHOULD NOT marry her. Anybody could be the father. Even Alisitaire LOL.

Cane should wait for the baby to be born and THEN do another paternity test. By that time Billy should have rolled into town and they'd be clear as to who the daddy is. Thing is even if Billy is the baby's daddy, that means she'll still be a part of their lives.

I know that the baby can't be his because she lied about how far along she was on the sonogram of the baby. The timing is way off. I do believe it was a blood relative of Canes who knocked her up. Besides that, everyone knows that when a man is that drunk, his junk doesn't work. The story line has gone on long enough.
