I'm a 20 year old girl with wealthy parents that will not in any way shape or form help me with school. Because they're wealthy I can't get anything from the government and my credit is poor so I can't get any kind of loans nor will they cosign. I need to go to school but I keep running into these barriers and I don't know what to do. Is there any place I can take a loan with a high interest rate just so that I can go? Please help me! Thank you.

  1. Anyone can get federal finanical aid regardless of parents income in the form of federal student loans.  These loans do not need you to pass a credit check and they do not require a cosigner.  You don't have to start paying them back until after you graduate or after you drop out. You apply at http://fafsa.ed.gov  the max you can borrow is 5500 a year as a freshman.  Find a school who's total tuition and fees and books is less than this and be proud and hold your head up high in paying for your education.

PS don't try to maintain the same lifestyle as your parents.  College kids are suppose to be poor.  Here is a good book about finanical aid and your options.  The loan you can get is called the Unsubsidized Stafford.

  2.    At the age of 20, the only way your parents' wealth would be considered would be if you live with them.  Why are you still living with them if they disagree so drastically with your goals?  Either move, or find a friend who is willing to let you use their address as your home address.  All you need to do is spend at least three nights a week at their place for that to be legally correct.

  3. You probably cannot afford the college *you* want to go to, but I am sure there is some college--even a community college--in your budget. Shop around for community colleges and go to the best one there for a couple of years while you improve your credit and make some money, then apply to lots of scholarships and try to transfer over.

  4. Did you try for a student loan through your school?

  5. go to frrance they have free college their

  6. Do your parents claim you on their taxes?  If they do not, you can fill out a FAFSA as independent.  This sould qualify you for some sort of federal aid, whether it be loans (which you don't need a cosigner for) or a pell grant.  If they do claim you on their taxes, try talking them out of doing so.  They are receiving money from the government for your support and are not supporting you at all.
