Canon CLC 2400

Question

when switching the copier on it goes through a warm up cycle and seams to stay in a warming up cycle. From the moment I switch it on the LCD display does not say any thing (Please wait) or (ready to copy) and the start button does not turn green. The addional functions button stays on at all times as if the machine is stuck in service mode. How do I correct this proplem.
