  1. You may want to look into the Canon D5, a full frame camera that is excellent when used with the Canon red line series lens.

  2. ive owned abotu 3 cannon rebels.

they work beautiful i dont use them for photography only to tKe regular pictureas but they come out amazing, my dad n the other hand uses it for photography the colors that come out on them is amazing and the camera isnt complicated at all.

  3. Beginner or not, what ever camera system you buy now, you will use as a pro.

So you need to do your own research ... serious research.  Eventually as you go pro your camera system will become worth many tens of thousands of dollars, so switching brands later  makes no sense.

First you have to know what field of photography you are going to pursue; editorial, sports, wedding, portrait, scientific, medical, advertising, fashion, etc.   That will be a large portion of what will determine what you end up buying.

Since you are just starting out, spending $5,000 (Nikon D3) to $8,000 (Canon 1Ds Mark III) for a professional camera may be a little excessive since you still have to go to school and learn photography and by the time you finish, those cameras will be "old tech".

Think about buying a good entry level DSLR to start.

  4. I'm a beginner too. :)

Pick Nikon and to be specific pick D80.

Amazing results. Cannon and Nikon are

both professional cameras so it doesn't

    really matter.

  5. nikon for sure. had three. not one problem with any. i had a canon a while back but it wasn't too special
