Capture image off HD-TV?

Hi

I have an hd tv and dvd player, normal dvds looks really great on it. I was wondering if there is a way to get a screen capture of the size of HD-tv when the dvd is playing, i can get the capture from computer but that seems to be small.

is there a way to get full 36 or 40 inch image as it appears on hd tv.

remember the image won't be 36 or 40 inches. That's just how big your TV is. The actual image size would be 1920x1080 pixels.
