Car plates?

Does anyone know a website where you could find licence plates? I mean if the licence plate is registered with the police or not. I have the number from the plate I just need a website in which I can put type the # and maybe get some info about it? Like which state it came from or soemthing. Thanks

There are several websites that will give that information, but it's private.  You have to have logons, passwords, and sign off that you won't abuse the information, under penalty of fraud.

That's because some people use the information to stalk others.  

So you can't get it.  Go down to your local police station, and if they think you have a right to the info, they'll give it to you.

No, nobody does because there is no such web page because what you are asking for is restricted information under federal law.
