Car specs online?

Question

I'm going to be buying a car soon and I want a car thats fuel efficient. - I'm not rich :P but a car that has an alright acceleration. - to beat my friends car... I'm thinking of spending up to $6000 so, not alot. Does anyone know a website that I can look at with prices of used cars, the mpg, and the acceleration?

I was looking at a grand am, and a cavalier, i dont know though :P

Check out edmunds.com

They give you the resale and specs.  They also give  you a stat called TCO so you can see some overall costs.
