Car stereo and sound quality maximization?

Im trying to get rid of my cassette player in my 1989 mercury and I need to know how much it would cost to have a CD player installed for me. also Im trying to get the best quality sound out if my system too, so any suggestions on a good system would be nice

Well it all depends on waht you want, the cd player alone is gonna make a big differnece. It also depends on how much you want to spend. For quality, a good component system would be best. But theres so many variations on what you can do. Are you going to be listening to classical or bumping some rap?
