Question:

Car stereo install -?

I had my entire system moved from one car into my newest one yesterday.

My sub-control option is gone. Normally it is where you adjust the base and treble and balance - it just skips right over it.

why?!

I dont want to have to go to the trunk to turn it down.

  1. From what you say it sounds like the subs are still playing but you can not control them from the radio.

Most likely the radio you are using  has a selectible pre-out for rear or sub ( non-fading ). This will have to be reset in the menu of the radio.

Let me know what kind of radio you have and I can tell you how to switch the output to what you need.

  2. are you subs working though?

what kind of head unit is it?

im guessing whoever installed the stereo into the new car, did not connect the rca's to the back of the head unit. usually if the radio does not sense a connection, it will skip over that settting. i would double check that all your wires are going to and from the sub amp.
