Okay, it's a fullsize van. Pioneer DEH-1900MP headunit, four 6x9's, all powered directly by the headunit. RCA outputs going to a 300w mono amp, powering two 12" subs in parallel.
At louder volumes (42 on the CD player with loudness on low, Bass +4, Mid+2, Treble+5), everything starts to get kinda drowned out. I have bass blockers (47uF capacitors) on the rear speakers.
Would adding a 2-channel amp to drive the four 6x9s help improve the clarity, or would it just mean I need a bigger amp to get my bass back?
