  1. We've been on a few cruises and the one we just went on was the best.  Well, we've only been in the Caribbean and the Bahamas, so that's all that I can compare anyway.  We went on a Carnival, western Caribbean cruise.  It was seven nights and went to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras.  They had us scheduled for two days at sea, but they were spread apart, which made for a better cruise.  I, personally don't like two sea days together.  I like visiting ports.  I had been to the Cayman's and Mexico before, but Belize and Honduras were very beautiful.  Well worth going there.  I hope that you find a good cruise.

  2. If you go on a very short cruise like a 3 day one, you are limited to the Bahamas and the cruise line's private islands.  I am not a big fan of nassau or freeport but the private islands are cool.  A 5 day cruise is a good choice for a first cruise.  You can usually hit cozumel and another island or two such as Belize, Grand Cayman or Jamaica. Another choice is to do nassau, carnivals private island and grand turk.  That is my favorite 5 day cruise.  The mass market cruise lines are pretty similar in quality as far as food / service go.  The shorter cruises however tend to be on the older, smaller ships in the fleet.  When you go also makes a difference,  when school is out, there will be lot's of kids on board and the prices will be higher.  If you aren't bringing kids, I would suggest you wait till sep to go.

  3. It all depends on where you want to leave out of. But the big cruise lines leave out of a few places. I have been on just about every cruise line there is. I would recommend royal caribbean cruise. I always like the big ships with the ice rink in them and the rock wall. Good Luck! Can can go talk to a travel adgant for free.. That would be your best bet and they most times then not have cheeper rates then on the internet.

  4. try a smaller cruiseliners with less people, (better access to islands etc.). i would like to go ona cruise to zanzibar and mauritius (from kenya)

  5. Ive been on the Celebrity Cruises Century, not the biggest but probably one of my favourite ships ive been on. It stops in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, St. Martan (i think) and Key west. There are 3 days at sea including the day you depart. Hope this helps!

  6. There are so many options available you can probably narrow it down some since you have familiarity with the islands, which ones would you like to visit?  There are generally Eastern, Western, Bahamian and Southern itineraries.  Eastern and Southern are usually 7 days or more while the Bahamian and Western vary from 3 days to 5 or 6 days.  Also, it may help you choose by selecting the port you would find most convenient and least expensive for you to leave from thereby limiting your travel expense to get there.  Not all the cruise lines travel from the same ports so that may narrow your options also.  All of the cruise lines offer wonderful trips, but they all vary in expense and personality also.  Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian are probably your best choices for a cruise of less than 7 days (most of the others don't offer any or only at limited times of the year).  If you want just a short cruise, I would suggest one of the Bahamian 3 or 4 days or the Western generally about 5 days.  There's always special offers since they run about all year long but school year always plays a part in pricing.  Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

  7. Oh how fun!  I am going on a cruise with my whole family (6 of us adults) and we are going on Royal Carribean.  It's 4 nights, 5 days.  We leave from Ft. Lauderdale and go to Key West and then Cozumel, Mexico.  It's cheap too!  We only paid $599/per adult!

You will LOVE it.....everything you want.....rest, relaxation, good food, all your entertainment, etc.  The only thing you need to pay for is any alcoholic drinks and then, of course, any shore excursions you take.

I recommend Royal Carribean OR Carnival Cruise Line.

Good luck and have fun!  (Only 7 weeks until our cruise!)

  8. Hello! there are many many affordable cruises you can take just follow the link! If you have any other questions please let me know! http://spmartin.worldventures.com/newdre...

  9. My wife and I took our first cruise about 8 years ago on Royal Caribbean and have cruised on their ships and others since then.  I feel they are they best for the money.  If you can spend a week do a Southern Caribbean out of San Juan.  If just a few days take a 5 day 4 night cruise.

  10. Take Royal Caribbean - no matter what anyone says lol - i've been on 3 royal caribbean cruises as well as carnival and norweigan also - RC is the best above the rest! For relaxation take a cruise that has lots of "at sea" days instead of stopping at a different island everyday (which is a lot of running around and not so much relaxation)
