Caribbean in july and august?

I would like to travel to some caribbean destination during july or august. Can someone recommend me which is the safest regarding the weather and hurricanes? And which are the worse to go during this months. Thanks a lot!

Yes, it is the peak of the hurricane season at this time, yet there are still places you can travel to without having to worry too much about hurricanes in the Caribbean.

Curacao for instance is one of the Islands that lies outside the hurricane belt, so you will be relatively safe. There is always the chance of a stray hurricane straying further south from the usual path, but this is a rare event. Also there are loads of things to do and see in Curacao.

Aruba and Bonaire are also located outside the hurricane belt.

The Cayman Islands are amazing during those months! They normally don't get any big storms until the end of September and October. Little Cayman is great if you just was to hang on the beach and relax Grand Cayman is a lot like Miami so if you want to party every night and shop for super pricey stuff all day it's for you.. If Little Cayman is your thing try out The Southern Cross Club.

Officially hurricane season is from June 1- Nov 30,but peak season is Aug to Oct.

Aruba and Curcao are both outside the Hurrican line.  I went on a trolly tour of Curcao and the lady said they were outside the Hurrican line.

Whatever you do though DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go to Grenada.  That is the WORST island and most dangerous island I have ever been to.  We went there on a cruise I went on and there were potholes so big I almost fell into one on the sidewalk.  We had a guy come into the store we were in and threaten the owner that he was going to break his face.  We noticed the danger as soon as we left port.  After that we ran back to port and got right back on teh ship.  A lot of people said they didn't like that island.

One family even said when they went on an excursion on that island the driver was playing chicken with the other cars in the road.

Aruba [and, I would assume, Curacao and Bonaire] is supposed to be "hurricane-free".  They are outside the usual hurricane zone.
