Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson has gone on to express his delight with signing a new contract with the Gunners, and he feels that the team wanting him to commit for such a long period of time, just goes to show how much they value him.

The team is looking to build for the future, and at the same time, the team is also hoping to give its young British players a chance to prove themselves.
A very delighted Jenkinson, when talking about his new deal with the club and the implications that it might have on his future is reported to have said:
“Obviously I’m over the moon - really happy”
“I see my future at this football club and I’m delighted they see things the same way.”

He also went on to talk about his personal evolution from being a player who represented Charlton, to being a player who was playing in the Champions League for the Gunners.
The youngster is still hoping to improve even further, despite him easily being one of the brightest young players around at the moment.
“I’m obviously really pleased with my progress over the past 18 months,” he said.

“Of course there have been some challenging times along the way, and I’ve had to work really hard, but I’m pleased with where I am now and I’m so happy with the new contract.”

"Now I just need to take every day as it comes, working and training hard.”
It is now going to be interesting to see just how Jenkinson grows as a player over the coming seasons. While it will also be important for the club to ensure that his development doesn’t get impacted in the coming months due to any setbacks.
