Carnival Cruises??/?

Question

Hello everyone I plan on going on a Carnival Cruise in July, yes I know its a long time but I like to plan ahead, so since Im going on a 5 day/4 night cruise to cozumenl mexico on the carnival fascination id like to know your stores about your carnival experince!!

i got some questions also besides the story

1. is the food any good

2. do you have to dress formal for the dining room?

3. How much is that fountain drink card that lets u get unlimited amouint of soda products??

4. Was it a good cruise or bad???

Food on Carnival is just OK; it's deteriorated quite a bit in just a few years.

Carnival has formal nights, just like most cruise lines, where you are expected to really dress up, but they don't really enforce it.  As long as you don't try to wear a bathing suit or a ratty T, you'll be OK!!  For formal night, you'd probably at least want to wear "nice" pants and shirt and maybe a tie.  Women would wear a "cocktail" type dress or dressy pants outfit.

Don't know how much the soda card is [see below].

I had two great and one good cruise on Carnival - all on newer ships than the Fascination.  But as they say, even a "bad" day on a cruise is better than being at work!!

BTW - a really nice place to go in Coz is Chankanaab Park.  No need to use the cruise tour; just get a cab and go.  [The park has a website - check it out.  I think they even have a coupon for a discount on admission.]  Lots of people also like Paradise Beach, but I've been to both and much prefer CP.
