Carnival Ecstasy (Galveston) Customs & Immigration Ques.?

Question

My husband and I are wanting to go on a trip we had won from a local company. We paid the taxes and what was left to be owed. I want to know do you think I will have problems clearing customs and immigration? I am born in Canada and have sent for my registered us citizen born abroad papers. Hopefully they will get here soon! I am afraid that if I just bring my Canadian Birth Certificate and Texas Driver's License I will have some problems. Any ideas? I have dual citizenship for both countries, but I am an American and I don't want to be deported to Canada!!!!!!

Here is a link to Carnival's documentation requirements, to be sure I would also contact Carnival directly at 1-800-Carnival.  It does state that you will need a certified copy of your Canadian Birth Certificate.  Just to be sure, contact a travel agent in Canada, they are more likely to know.
