  1. Yes, she can go. She must present her birth certificate. Call the cruise line or your travel agent and ask if her parents must sign a release.  Not knowing your itinerary, I don't know if you are leaving the country or not.  You can always call the 800 number for the cruise line itself and ask them, they are wonderful about answering questions, and without full info, I am limited on telling you exactly what you want to know.

As long as you are legal age, you are responsible for her, but a parental release would be a great thing to check out first.  She will need a picture ID as well, if not a passport if you are leaving the county.

When in doubt, check it out. Nothing worse than being held up at your check in point over something you could have done ahead of time, like you are trying to do.

    PS.. Have fun!!

  2. On Carnival, as long as she's in a cabin with a chaperone 25 or over, she's fine.  No need for a release.

    Hope that helps!

  3. You should carry a letter signed by both parents and notarized, giving you permission to take her out of the country.  Depending on your stops, some countries ask for this, others do not...but it is quick and easy to write and most banks have a notary...so better to have it.
