Carving (Racing)?

Question

I just saw a really neat article in 'Ski' magazine with a different type of ski racing: Carving.

So what I'm wondering is if anyone else has heard of this...It looks like hella fun and I wasn't sure if there was any way to get involved.

There are several videos of it on Youtube. Search for "FIS carving". I know this doesn't answer your question, but I thought you might be keen to watch anyway.

It does indeed look fun, but it appears that it is not yet in any place other than europe so I dunno.
