Cashing a check problem?

today i recieved a check from a friend but when i tried cashing it at my check cashing place the cashier looked on the computer and told me it isnt listed.i was so mad.what can i do about this do i tell my friend to send me a new check or to make sure the information on the check is accurate.im not sure.thanks alot

Sounds like a fake, tell her to send you a money order,can't go wrong there.

Try cashing the check at a real bank.
