I need to cash a personal check, but I dont have a bank account ( I absolutely will not open one), and I dont have an id ( I have a school id but not an id) ive heard wal mart will cash personal checks, can anyone tell me what age you need to be to cash in a check written out to you, and a list of places (not the bank) were I can cash them in (without ID would be best)

  1. bring in your check to the bank that the check is from and give them your ID and finger print!

  2. Only way you are going to be able to do that without ID is to have a friend deposit in his/her bank account and wait for it to clear before you get cash back from friend.  Other than that, you and the maker of the check will have to go to one of those check cashing places which charge big percentage and maker will have to show ID.  In the future, try a credit union as opposed to a bank, but again you must have ID to open the account. Most check cashing services require you are 18 at the very least and able to satisfy financial liability requirements.
