This odorless, colorless gas is formed by the combustion of fossil fuels such as gasoline and is emitted primarily from cars and trucks.

When inhaled, CO blocks the transport of oxygen to the brain, heart, and other vital organs in the body. Fetuses, newborn children, and people with chronic illnesses are especially susceptible to the effects of CO.

The simplest answer is by driving. The burning of the fuel is the polluter and no matter what you do to clean up the burn you will always pollute. The more devices we put on our car to stop pollution ,the more it cost us monetarily and environmentally. The only fuel you can burn without any appreciable pollutants is Hydrogen. NOT Hydrogen fuel cells. Fuel cells are just a "feel good" solution. Basically H when burned turns back into water vapor. It's very easy to make and no matter what you've been told, safer than gasoline, propane and others. We are discouraged from using H because it's to easy to make and the "powers that be" would lose some of their control over us price wise and TAX wise. A solar panel, 2 wires and water, you've got H. The hard part is the injection system needed to introduce H. to your engine. Some of you smart young folks should work on that. :)

The very basic cause of pollution in leaded petrol, besides that old vehicles which have old style engines, which emit co2,lead etc.

But now engines are built which new technologies like Bharat stage 3 which give minimal emissions, and euro4 engines for europeon countries as per their standrds.

A car always put out polution because you are burning fossil fuels. As a result you get many many chemicals from Hydrogen suffide, to carbon Monoixde.  The only thing the varies some are put out in low amounts and different vehilce pollute at different rates. Comparing you economy car to the gas guzzler SUV.

actually useof poor fuel..i mean..fuels have their own octane values

Engine condition would be poor so that the fuel is not completely burnt

the exhaust system may not b perfect.
