  1. I'm Italian... definitely Vodafone.

  2. I have found Telecom Italia (TIM) to be the easiest to find and to use.  You can find locations and information about buying and using a TIM card on their website.  Here's the English version: http://www.privati.tim.it/aree_eng/4/8/t...

  3. they use vodaphone there, i think

  4. I live in Italy and the best cell phone company is Vodaphone (I even have it) and its all prepaid no matter what company you have. The other companies are Tim which is the 2nd best! and Wind and Three which are both bad from what people have told me. Vodaphone works all over the EU so if you leave Italy it will still work!!!

  5. I just came back from Italy. It's super easy to buy a sim card. Most electronics shops, cell phone stores and tabachi (small street stores).

TIM: has a great and cheap internet plan. For EUR20 you can use the internet on your phone for your entire vacation.

VODAFONE: has a great international calling plan.

If you will call your home country DO NOT BUY TIM. It's ridiculously expensive. Your EUR20 prepaid card will expire after 4 minutes of an international call. On EUR20 and Vodafone special international plan, you can talk to 100 minutes.

    Enjoy !

  6. Wind

  7. conpany? samusung? Yep, use vodaphone.

  8. A few months ago I would said "Go with Wind!", but today Wind is really disappointing (after being sold by ENEL to an Egyptian businessman. Sort of.)

Now you can choose between Vodafone, TIM, TRE (especially for UMTS service). They're the only ones. Personally, I think Vodafone is currently "less worst" than TIM.

Recently, "virtual phone service supplier" (I'm not about the English term, but I'm talking about company who buy the service from one of the above, then sell them to customers with their own offer) started in Italy, as well.

  9. Tim has the better net, it works almost everywhere

Vodafone in cheaper but still good

    Wind sucks

I don't know if you can just put a 3 simcard in your phone, but I don't thik so

  10. hi,i'm italian...yes,we use Vodafone because (in particular for young)it has very good rate.

if you want take a look at www.190.it (the vodafone's official site )but i think it's only in italian

    sorry for my english.....
