Well, my dad told me a story about his friend's friend dying because his car exploded. He told me that his friend's friend was bringing a container of gasoline to his friend and the container was in the trunk of his car and he was in the driver's seat and picked up a call from his cell phone. Which made his car explode. How does this happen???

  1. You dad is in other words telling you to stop using the cell phone while driving.

  2. This is easy to figure out.  Gas cans  are not absolutely air tight.  Gas vapor escaped from the can,  made their way through the car, and when the cell phone rang it emitted just enough of a spark to  cause the explosion. Yes, it an happen.

  3. Course having a container of highly explosive gasoline vapors in an enclosed space such as your trunk is a bomb waiting for any spark, he probably just stepped on the brake..

  4. Potentially (extremely small chance)

However, you would have to have no sense of smell whatsoever not to notice if the fumes were that strong.

  5. yes it can happen as a phone gives off a small sprk and gas fumes are very explosive.so dont f**t when your calling someone.

  6. cell phones + driving = car crash and stupidity.

  7. he has got to be pulling you leg on that one cause a phone dont produce enough power to do that..i've seen it on mythbusters
