  1. I have never seen a documentary about Cessna's per say. I have seen some aviation shows that talk about it's history along with Beech and Piper for small lightweight civilian flying.

I don't recall seeing a videos on any of the major pilot supply websites.

I am actually a fan of Zenith planes for the lightweights. Their CH-701 has to be the best plane for your money, and although technically a kit-plane, there are many companies that will build them for you for about $30k, then add in $18k for the plane and engine. The recommended engine runs on car gas, and you can customize a lot. Folding wings, dome window doors, along with all kinds of nifty add-on's above what you get with a production plane.

I know what you're thinking, I want to fly a safer production plane, but if you go to the NTSB's website on plane crashes, query Cessna crashes and Zenith crashes, and you will be surprised. You might be thinking, because there are more Cessna's flying than Zenith's, but it's the other way around, if you compare all the Zenith's world-wide.

I once knew a guy who's grandfather worked for Boeing as an Engineer. They called the Cessna the "Steel Sled," (before they went to carbon bodies) because it had 700+ engineering issues and errors, whereas a Boeing 747 has 12.
