Chain for a 1986 zx1000?

I cant find a chain online for an 86 zx1000. Where can I find one and would any other kind of chain fit?

  1. Most chains today are 530 or 525. Or even 520, for 250. These Are chain weights/grades. It is doubtful that your chain designation is one in that form, So you need to crossreference it to the new style, so you have a greater source of supply.


  2. The stock chain for this bike is a 632- 94 links.  Most of the bikes by now have had the sprockets replaced, and use a 630.     Your best/safest route is to get a chain and sprocket set, for if the chain is badly worn, the sprockets should be replaced also.  You will likely have to go to a shop to order them.  Sunstar makes a kit, with 630 chain and sprockets, Parts Unlimited also sells a kit.  If you can not find one, you may E-mail me, I can be of assistance.
