Champ de elyess.?

okay so i probably spelled it wrong.

but, i don't care.

but i'm french.

shame shame.

okay back to the question.

my mom always tells me that in paris the champs elyesse is the most prettiest boulevard in the world, and it's well known for that.

but everytime i go to paris.

i never find it attractive.

it's always dirty and smells.

people are everywhere.

beggers are all over.

what's pretty about it?

first of all I'm French but I'm from North of France. in August I went to Paris because my husband is working over there so he wanted to show me exactly where he is working . the first time I went to Paris it was with the school when I was 10 years old. I don't often go to paris as you can see. So when I went in August I told to my husband how can tourists can tell that Paris is marvellous ? paris is grey, the people are unpolite, very stressed and I do agree with you when you say that Paris is not really beautiful. but the question that i'm wondering is how paris can be so popular ? of course there is a lot of things to do but it's dirty and not friendly at all. this is my own opinion.

I just returned from Paris and I agree with you, it did look pretty dirty. The only things I found attractive about Avenue Des Champs Elysees were the views of the Arc de Triomphe on one end and the Louvre at the other. Other than that, it looks to be a huge tourist trap full of very expensive stores. But I guess if you like to shop that could be attractive as well.

Some of the most attractive streets I saw were by the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur in northern Paris.

The perspective is interesting: you can see the Louvre, the obelisk, the arc de triomphe and La Défense.

Otherwise the shops themselves have nothing special. Burger restaurants, pizza places, movie theaters. And lots of tourists.

(and actually they have improved in the last 10 years or so!)

So apart from the view, move on to somewhere else!
