Change Of Name India?

hi, need help on this.

i had a name w/o my family name in my birth certificate , 10th and college marks cards. but i have decided to add the family name. i have got the affidavit and also published the change of name in the newspaper!!!

I would like to know. if there would be a problem as my 10th and other certificates are in my old name! will that create a problem during a job interview ? or a us visa maybe for masters or anything ?

You can apply for change of name in your certificates and you will get it from the University to avoid all such problems. This will make your life easy

your deed poll - the name change document - shows the connexion between the new you and the old you.  so no worries.  just bring the deed poll for all interviews or enclose it with other documents to show the change.  that's what i did some yrs ago
