ok i tried to change the year in windows vista

i changed it to 2006 and hit ok then it went back to 2008

why is this so?

  1. Do you have administrator privileges?

    And, are you changing it the right way?

    Click the time, Click Change date and time settings, click change date and time, scroll back to September 1st, 06 and hit OK?
