Question:

Changing Eye Sight?

I've just had my eyesight tested and my eyes got worse by two steps. They are now -3.50 and -4.00 changing from -3.00 and -3.50. The previous two years they went up by 4 steps. I'm 24.

Are my eyes going to get much worse or are they stabilizing now? The optician wasn't the most reassuring person I've ever met.

My dad is short sighted and I know his prescription is worse by about 6-10 steps.

  1. im 21 and my eyesight still gets a little worse every year. thankfully, it has slowed down, it used to get so bad i would be seeing an eye doctor twice a year sometimes.

anyway, it should be slowing down now as youre getting older. no worries!

  2. You should begin to slow down now.  If you do a lot of computer work or reading, it may continue to change from the stress of that.  I stopped changing at 27 and haven't changed since....I'm a good decade older now (give or take) wink, wink....
