Changing IP Address?

How can i easily change my IP address on my computer? Im connected wireless to a router in the other room, but i would like to know if anybody knows how to change it where i am, without disconnecting the router for like 8 hours overnight or even 5 minutes because other people in my house are using the computers also. Also im not a computer geek so can anybody easily explain how to do it with my computer right where im sitting?

go into control panel (i'm assuming Vista) go into Network Connections. click on the Wireless icon. you can change your IP from there. you may have to reboot.

Is there a reason why you want to change your IP?

You are about to get 15 answers saying ipconfig /release.  That will probably not accomplish what you are trying to do.  Why do you need to change it?  If you have been banned from some site, let it go, if you have some other reason, let us know, we may be able to help.

Go into your routers settings and change them to a static IP and manually type in the address.  You may also try revoking your own license and reconnecting.
