Okay so here is my chart...according to fertility awareness I ovulated on CD15 but when I switch it to advanced it say CD18...this happens to me every month...I'll have a a temp rise for three days and then another one also my CM has pretty much no pattern and I will have EWCM before and after but be totally dry on the day of ovulation...it's very confusing....

I'm so discouraged and am starting to feel like charting is taking over my life and it never even gives me an accurate O day...sorry just need to vent...

  1. Yeah that is confusing.  I kind of have the same issue with fertilityfriend.  I use it more so I can see a cleaner version of my temps but according to the books I read, you ovulate around the last dip before the big increase.  So if I was to make my guess it would be day 15.  Hope this helps.

  2. Wow, you're right---it is kind of hard to tell.  Have you read Toni Weschler's book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility?  What I like about her book is that near the back, she has a WHOLE BUNCH of examples of weird charts.  I'm a "Slow-Rise" chart person for most of my cycles.  If you haven't read her book, or if you still have it, you might check out the examples and see if you fit one of those profiles.  That would give you some idea of why your chart is difficult to read.

    Good luck!  Baby dust!

  3. I am not pro at charts but if I had to guess I would say that you did o on cd 15. Maybe you dropped two eggs this cycle and that would be the reason for the second round of ew cm. Are you sure that the second round was not your dh's stuff?  I have had that before when I know I o'd a day and then (TMI) had a bowel movement and I seem to get more ew cm when I wipe the front.

When you change from advanced does it give you a solid coverline or is it still a dash line? Charting rules my life but after a bit of time it is now more of a welcomed annoying friend that I love but gets under my skin. Good luck I hope this is the month for you and you can say good bye to charting until the next baby. :)

  4. Check out arvigomassage.com  This stuff can help get your body working the way it's supposed to so you can conceive alot easier. It worked for me after 18 months of trying and charting, acupuncture and 2 rounds of clomid that failed. It also helped a patient of mine conceive after about a year of trying with very severe PCOS and the fertility moniter telling her she wasn't ovulating. She conceived within 2 cycles.

    Good Luck!

  5. It looks to me like you have a slow rise after ovulation.  The problem with fertility friend is that it wrongly assumes everyone has a cycle exactly like everyone elses and doesn't account for those who don't spike after ovulation, they just have a temp that rises slowly, like you.  It looks like you ovulated on cd 15.  Maybe you can try another program and see if it works better?  There's one at http://www.ivillage.com/fertilityplanner...  and maybe it will work better, though I've not tried it yet.  I plan to next month.  Good luck!

BTW: I've been charting without a computer program for several years.

  6. I don't blame ya for being confused! It looks to me like your O day was the cd15 as well given the thermal shift . I think you did the right thing by BD on cd 15 as well as cd18.

Do you use opks as well? I would use a digital opk that gives you a smiley face or an empty circle instead of the opks with lines. I've heard SOOOO many people say the ones with lines are very confusing to read.

If you don't get a BFP, I would try using the digital opk in addition to the chart. Dust to ya...

  7. Hello, I would actually say you ovulated on day 15 because your temp went over the cover line the next day.

I get EWCM after ovulation too which can confuse my chart!

Don't give up, charting is always good, I am seeing a fertility specialist in September and will be going with 10 months worth of charts so it's a good thing to do.

All the very best to you x*x
