What are some cheap anniversary gifts? I'm looking for ideas for both the traditional paper and modern clocks.

  1. Write down your feelings, a poem or picture on paper.

  2. A nice card and a letter telling your partner about why you both fell in love. You don't mention gender. I have seen nice clocks that are 20 bucks. Clocks are not romanticand they make a good birthday gift.  Your anniversary is more romantic and deserves a special touch like valentines day.  Many people in the 1st year of marriage are somes financially strapped and your spouse will love the fact you took time to remember.

  3. Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

  4. Forget the clock! Give him wild passionate s*x-It costs nothing and is also fun for you!

  5. write down why you feel in love with them & why you still love them.  i would  forget the clock idea. i think a nice romantic home cooked meal.

  6. My husband and I learned origami together, it was a lot of fun..and inexpensive, you can buy the kits at any bookstore. I still have the 2 best cranes we made.

  7. Paper- I gave my husband a picture of myself in a s**y outfit laying across the hood of my sports car. That was over 28 years ago. We've been divorced for 15 and he still keeps it on his desk at work.

    Clocks-well for under $20, a travel clock

  8. Get him a new alarm clock and write him a poem. Or get a picture of the two of you and frame it, or do something like a scrapbook page. If you go with with scrapbook idea, you can add to it for each holiday.

  9. Ours is coming up too and I went to Amazon.com and ordered a journal where you fill out questions about your first year of marriage and your love..then you give it to your spouse to read and to fill out about you. It was only $18 and it fits the paper tradition.

  10. buy a cheap bow and be wearing only that when he comes home from work

  11. Forget the silly clocks and make a nice dinner dinner served by you in a nice "nightie". Believe me, he would much rather have that than some silly clock!
