  1. Unless u can get a lift then there's not alot of options .. nat express run a direct service from Chesterfield to Ipswich.departing @ 11-15 and arrives Ipswich <old cattle market bus station > @18-50 <the service is the 350 to Clacton> on the 5th sept .. return journey ... on the 7th .. departs Ipswich @ 09-40 and arrives Chesterfield @ 16-40 .<the service is the 350  to liverpool> .. now the not so good news ,, it will cost £48/50 rtn if booked 7 days or more in advance .. £55 rtn if booked in under that .... hope thats of some help but i kinda think u all ready new this .. have a great time whatever u decide ..

  2. The cheapest way to get train tickets is buying them off-peak and way in advance.  Use http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ to browse prices, times and buy the tickets.

  3. Right - first suggestion would be to try buying seperate train tickets - there is a direct service Chesterfield - Norwich with EMT, so try that and then buy another Norwich - Ipswich train ticket

Also, try getting a train ticket Chesterfield - London using www.megabus.com.

Try similar using buses. Remember as a general rule, via London = more cost.
